Many longtime residents live next to new, younger families and singles in Redondo Beach. The town that is bordered by Los Angeles Airport and the ocean has a sense of unity. It has an excellent fire department, an active city government, and a police department, which boasts that it, keeps the city "safe to walk in at night".
