Lockdown in the South Bay CVID 19

The South Bay was effectively shut down along with the rest of the State and much of the country to slow down the spread of the CVID-19 virus.

Making many businesses resort to remote and virtual communications. And delivery a mainstay of transactions.

However, many questions about quarantine remain.

The essential businesses have been ok’d to operate. Like grocery stores.

But I did see a construction crew dropping cement on a driveway yesterday during a neighborhood walk.  Which in all intellectual honesty, is a walk ok?

I had to wonder if covering a driveway counts as essential.

Nextdoor.com has been lively. I read a debate on people walking at Wilson Park and someone floated a rumor that Torrance was handing out tickets.  That seemed a bit far fetched.

But where do we draw the line is ultimate question?

As far as I can tell, the reason for this quarantine. Is to slow down the infection rate of the virus. Which is reported for healthy people to be normal to mild to a bad cold.

But because this thing hits fast. In order to help our less vibrant and compromised population we need to stay away from one another. All to avoid a mad rush onto the healthcare system. When our less fortunate do get ill

That is hard in case you have not noticed;-) Staying away from one another.

Last weekend proved this point beautifully.

Neighbors assembled in the middle of the street on beach chairs in a big circle, six feet apart and communed for several hours. We humans are special right?

Do your best to support your local businesses as best you can while abiding by the rules. And also be mindful of your neighbors. Especially our elderly folks

There are reports out that new drugs are helping people survive. So keep your heads up and stay positive.

Stay safe and healthy out there folks!
