36th Annual TUSD College Fair at South HS

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, at South High School, students and parents will have the chance to learn about various colleges and universities in California as well as from around the nation. The College Fair is an annual event sponsored jointly by the Torrance Council of PTAs, the Torrance Unified School District, and the PTAs at North, South, Torrance, and West High Schools. The purpose of the College Fair is to assist students as they navigate through the various steps to higher education. The event provides students and parents the opportunity to speak to representatives from a variety of schools, including community colleges, regional occupational programs, state colleges and universities, private schools, and Ivy League universities.

The College Fair also provides students and parents the opportunity to participate in workshops that cover a wide range of topics, including admissions processes, scholarship opportunities, and preparing for college entrance exams. TUSD counselors and college and career counseling coordinators will also be available to answer questions.

All students are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this event. It is never too early to begin thinking about college, and which one will best serve your future educational goals. There is a college or program that is right for every student’s future career plans.

The College Fair is free and open to the public. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the South High gym. South High is located at 4801 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, California 90505.
