Riding on this year’s Rose Parade float will be Torrance City Councilman Gene Barnett and his wife, Linda (former City Treasurer); Torrance City Clerk, Sue Herbers and her husband, Jerry; Torrance Rose Float Association President, Mary Hoffman, who is completing her 16th consecutive year as President of the Torrance Rose Float Association; Bob Habel, who is also completing his 16th year as a Rose Float Board member (the Association oversees all aspects of the City’s float); Laurie Love, Chairperson of the Torrance Centennial Committee; Georgean Griswold, former President of the Torrance Rose Float Association; Torrance City Treasurer, Dana Cortez and three her daughters Arianna, Vanessa and Natasha Barragan; Lori Fechner and her three daughters, Emily, Camille, and Tess; Carol Gilles, Board of Director for Friends of the Torrance Theatre Co and Virginia VanHoutte.

I have also agreed to be on the 2013 Torrance Rose Float Association Board. In order to FUNDRAISE the additional monies ( $75,000) for next year’s float, the Association has decided to have a WEEKLY Thursday Night Dinner. Check out the new web site, www.torrancerosefloat.com.
