Four South Bay Woman Honored for Their Years of Service

These women and two other Palos Verdes Peninsula residents, Jane Jones and Dorothy Lay, will be honored May 5th at the The Yellow Vase in Palos Verdes Estates.
It is so refreshing to see woman who give back to their community. Thank You Ladies for your many years of service.

Such wonderful News for the South Bay. Children’s Hospital has opened a outpatient Medical group in Torrance. You can expect the same renowned medical care that children’s Hospital is known for across the country.
REDONDO BEACH TO GET NEW WATERFRONT HOTEL
The 54 room hotel project in Redondo is finally under way. The project has been in the works since 2008. Cleanup of the present site is scheduled to start next month and completion is scheduled for October 1, 2014. This will be Redondo’s first major development project in 2 years and the city fathers are happy to see the project finally get off the sand, so to speak.
GOOD BYE CASTLE – HELLO MARRIOTT & HILTON
The Marriott Residence Inn and a Hilton Garden Inn are set to start construction on the site of the former Malibu Castle mini-golf course located at Marine Avenue and the 405 San Diego Freeway in Redondo Beach.
The two hotels will take about 5 acres total of the site and will have combined 320 rooms in two new 4 story buildings. The cost will be around $60M. Everyone connected with the development is happy to see the whole thing starting to move forward after suffering a 2 year set back
