Lomita Market Stats 2014
The Lomita real estate market (Zip 90717) 9 homes sell at a median price of $495,000 in the month of March 2014. This is up 5.5% from last years median home prices. There were 5 Condos sold, up 4% from last year at a median price of $355,000.Costco to Build New Store
According to Nick Green, of the Daily Breeze, another big change in the wind. Costco has filed an application with the city to build a larger store with more parking. This will be built on the 23-acre parcel on Lomita Boulevard adjacent to its current location. The new store would total 161,500 square feet on 17.5 acres. The current store is 148,000-square-foot store and features 761spaces compared to the new store which will offer 874 parking spaces for the shoppers convenience.
The other interesting part of this story is that Home Depot
located in the Crossroads Shopping center is considering moving in to the old Costco once the new structure and the Costco move in complete which is across the street for Lowes.
Farmers Market at Kaiser
We all know of the Farmer market At Wilson Park in Torrance, the Farmer’s Market in Redondo. But did you know there is a 3rd local Farmers Market? And you will not beleive where.
The market is located at the Kaiser Permanent South Bay medical center, near the Parkview building. The hours are 10 am to 3 pm Wednesdays.
The stalls accept cash or you can get a gift card with a credit card at the manager’s stand.
