Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach is an ideal place to live and to work and it has endless activities and friendly people. The city has housing options that range from multi million dollar estate homes along the beach, to wonderful cottages on the tree lined streets, to large family style homes in the hills overlooking the city and the south end of the Santa Monica bay. The city offers five distinct home “sections”. Each of the neighborhoods, or “sections”, offer a totally different atmosphere, and all are part of the award winning Manhattan Beach Unified School District.
The Sand Section is the area that parallel the beach and have the famous pedestrian only streets. The Tree Section has fantastic, all American family type neighborhoods and tree lined streets. The Hill Section has the breathtaking ocean views and overlooks the city. Manhattan Village is a gated, family oriented community. The area east of Sepulveda Blvd is known as East Manhattan.
The most northern area is called El Porto and is the most affordable section of the city. The Strand runs along the beach and has the most highly sought after real estate with unblockable ocean views and beach accesses. The Strand stretches from Hermosa Beach on the south, to El Porto area on the north.
No matter what section you are in, you are always close to the famous restaurants and bars and entertainments options that Manhattan Beach offers. Downtown Manhattan Beach offers world class shopping, unique ‘one of a kind shops’, botique shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, city offices, library, business offices, banking facilities, and retail stores and outlets of all kinds.
Manhattan Village offers beautiful landscaping with pools, spas, bike paths and soccer field. The Village offers a complete modern shopping center, restaurants, entertainment options, a tennis club, South Bay Studios and many upscale hotels.
Manhattan Village is a family oriented community with many activities, parks, fields and playgrounds, and just a hop, skip and jump from the famous beaches to its west.
