School’s Out!  Summer is Here!  What to do to keep your children entertained?

The City of Torrance offers several events so your children can have FUN in the Sun this summer!

* The City of Torrance offers Summer Camp from June 22 – August 23

The Recreation Services Division offers camps for children ages 6-14 during winter, spring and summer vacation. Each one week session includes arts, crafts, cooking, games, entertainment and a special excursion. Camp meets 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Participants may also register for extended supervision from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. or 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Comfortable clothing, closed toe shoes and a sack lunch with a drink are required each day. Camp t-shirts are available for $7.00 per shirt and must be worn on all excursions.

Weekly Newsletters will be available for each camp. They will be updated online and will be available at the camp.

The program will offer innovative group-based, outdoor games designed to stimulate and challenge participants. The program is non-custodial and participants are free to come and go as they please.

This program is FREE and will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the following parks:

June 30, 2015 – Walteria Park, 3855 242 Street

July 7, 2015 – Torrance Park, 2001 Santa Fe Avenue
July 9, 2015 – Sur La Brea Park, 23610 Cabrillo Avenue

July 16, 2015 – Paradise Park, 5006 Lee Street
July 23, 2015 – La Romeria Park, 19501 Inglewood Avenue
July 28, 2015 – Hickory Park, 850 232 Street
July 30, 2015 – El Retiro Park, 126 Vista del Parque
August 11, 2015 – Alta Loma Park, 26126 Delos Drive
