And don’t forget about our four legged veterans … those bomb searching dogs who work side by side with our military.   Here’s a beautiful story ….

In this short video, we zero into the life of a combat soldier and his partner—-a highly trained combat canine. For centuries, dogs have played a useful part of war. Numerous dogs have given their lives for their masters(handlers) and troops on ground patrols. Some handlers have been lucky enough to be able to bring their dogs back home with them after tours in combat. This short video is about such a partnership of soldier and dog.

Redondo Beach is having a Veteran’s Day Observance… Keynote speaker is local Redondo resident, Rear Admiral Sandra E. Adams, USNR, Deputy Commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. Local elected officials and other military dignitaries will also participate.  Redondo Beach will observe Veterans Day 2015 at the Veterans Memorial in beautiful Veterans Park at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11.  More details

If you live in Orange County, here are several events for you to participate in.
