What’s on YOUR Bucket List? In 2011, my list included a Ride on The Torrance Rose Float! I was finally accepted and made my donation to the Torrance Rose Float Association. I got to ride on the 2012 Torrance Rose Float – 100 Years .. Looking Back, Moving Forward.
What’s it like? A giddy experience … thousands of fans applauding and yelling “Torrance, Torrance” as we slowly made our way down Orange Grove Blvd to Colorado Blvd. Waving (the Princess Wave) thru the “windows” of the Trolley, smiling at all the people who were camped out the night before to get the best curbside seating. As you turn the corner, where all of the TV cameras were and WAVING & SMILING to everyone AROUND THE WORLD who are watching and ready to celebrate the Torrance, California Rose Float! What a great opportunity to celebrate our wonderful city and share our award winning float with everyone!
What’s on YOUR Bucket List? If riding the Torrance Rose Float is, you have two ways to participate. One – There are only FOUR seats left on the 2019 Torrance Rose Float. If you choose to Donate $1500 (Torrance Rose Float Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) and you will get a seat. Two – Buy a RIDE OF YOUR LIFE Opportunity Ticket for $10 and if your ticket gets pulled you will WIN a seat on our 2019 Torrance Rose Float. To Buy a Ticket … click here! The Winner will be drawn at the November Torrance Rose Float Association General Meeting. This opportunity drawing does not include any travel or lodging accommodations. Winner need not be present. You do need to be 13 or older to ride on the float.

TRFA 2019 FLOAT – POWER OF MUSIC
This year’s Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade theme is “The Melody of Life”. The 2019 Torrance Rose Float is “The Power of Music”. This original float design was created by Justin Kim of West Torrance High School. Our float builder, FIESTA FLOAT BUILDERS, created a beautiful float to include a LIVE BAND. The Torrance Rose Float Association had a contest and the winner of the “Battle for the Band” is “ALINEA“. They will be performing Live Music on the Torrance Rose Float as it moves down the 5.5 mile parade route.
